Make a Change
The National Diversity Council is the first non-profit organization to bring together the private, public and non-profit sectors to discuss the many dimensions and benefits of a multicultural environment. Since the launch in 2008, the NDC is a forerunner of community-based, national organizations that champion diversity, equity and inclusion across the country. It is currently made up of state and regional councils.
The vision of the National Diversity Council is to cultivate a nationwide network of affiliated councils to advance diversity, equity and inclusion by transforming our workplaces and communities into inclusive environments where individuals are valued for their talents and empowered to reach their fullest potential.
The mission of the NDC is to be both a resource and an advocate for the value of diversity, equity and inclusion. The NDC serves as the umbrella organization to support our statewide and regional affiliates, which foster an understanding of diversity and inclusion as a dynamic strategy for business success and community well-being through various initiatives.
In addition to the NDC Index, the National Diversity Council also offers:
- NDC Certification Training, which prepares qualified professionals to create and implement highly successful D&I strategies in today’s global marketplace. The program blends theory and practice during a 5-day intensive curriculum and ongoing professional development within the graduate network.
- The NDC Virtual Suite, which offers top-notch learning solutions to enhance skills, energize behavior into action, and engage employees as valued contributors to business success and strategic efforts around diversity, equity, and inclusion.
- Consulting, which includes access to Diversity and Inclusion leaders to provide training, organizational assessments, and benchmarking services.
Our Value Proposition
In line with the mission and vision of the National Diversity Council, the NDC Index aims to drive the value of diversity and inclusion within companies at the regional, state, and national levels. Ultimately, our goal is to advocate for diversity as a business imperative for companies across the United States and to help them increase opportunities for innovation and long-term sustainable growth.
To this end, the NDC Index project began with a desire to help NDC partner companies benchmark their Diversity and Inclusion (D&I) organizational goals. As the Index developed, however, we realized that such a powerful and informative analytical tool could have a wider audience and a broader impact. Hence, we designed this survey to help professionals develop and strengthen their organizational strategies based upon current industry norms and market relevancy.
We invite you to take the next step for your organization by registering for the NDC Index today.
